Taylor Hawks McClintic

Meet Taylor

Taylor Hawks McClintic co-founded Hanson, McClintic & Gerber with Laura Hanson in 2025 after obtaining his bar number. Driven by a commitment to public service and courtroom advocacy, Taylor immediately entered into a contract to provide indigent defense in Marion County. While public defense cases make up the majority of his caseload, Taylor also accepts private criminal and civil clients—bringing the same rigorous, daily courtroom experience and dedicated representation to every matter he handles.

Taylor earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he built a strong foundation in practical advocacy. His active public defense workload provides him with deep, hands-on insight into Marion County court procedures, local prosecutors, and trial strategy. On the private side, Taylor regularly represents clients facing various criminal charges, along with handling disillusions of marriage and probate cases, focusing on clear communication and strategic defense to protect his clients' rights.

Outside the courtroom, Taylor enjoys hands-on creative projects, whether he’s working on woodworking or leatherworking crafts. When he’s taking a break from crafting, you’ll usually find him relaxing at home hanging out with his cats or unwinding with a new LEGO set.
